How Asian Kisses makes money

Short version: Asian Kisses is free to read. When you sign up for a dating site through some of our links, that site may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way. Commissions never decide a site's rating or its place in our rankings.

How the links work

Every "Visit" button on the site sends you through a short redirect on our own domain, at an address that starts with /go/, and then on to the dating site. We route links this way so that we can count clicks and so that we can update a link in one place when a dating site changes its address.

Some of those redirects end at an affiliate link: a tracked link from the dating site or its affiliate network that tells them you came from us. If you then create an account or buy a subscription or credits, we may earn a commission. Other redirects go straight to the dating site's normal homepage and earn us nothing. You pay the dating site's standard price in both cases; affiliate links never add a charge.

How affiliate links are labelled

• A review that contains an affiliate link says so in a notice at the top of the page, before the review starts.
• Affiliate links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, the label search engines ask publishers to use for paid links.
• The footer of every page links to this disclosure.

Why commissions don't change ratings

Our ratings come from testing each site with a real account, using the five categories and weights on our methodology page. Whether a site pays commissions is not one of those categories. Some sites with affiliate programs score poorly with us — credit-based sites where we found signs of paid chat operators are the clearest example — and we say so in plain terms. We also review and recommend free apps and local Asian apps that have no affiliate program at all, because they are often the better choice for readers.

Dating sites cannot pay for a review, a higher score, or a better position in a "best of" list. If a dating site or network asks for that, the answer is no.

Who we have commercial relationships with

We may join affiliate programs run by individual dating sites or by affiliate networks that represent several sites. Joining a program doesn't mean we endorse the site; the review is our endorsement or warning.
