Asian Kisses (asiankisses.org) is a review site. You can read every page without an account, a sign-up, or a newsletter, and we don't run ads. This page explains the small amount of data that is processed when you visit, and why.

What we collect
Anonymous usage statistics
We use a self-hosted copy of Umami, an open-source analytics tool, to count page views. It does not set cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other websites. It records the page you viewed, the page that referred you, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and your approximate country. Your IP address is used to work out the country and is not stored. We also count clicks on "Visit site" buttons (which site, and where on the page the button was) so we know which reviews people find useful. The analytics run on a server we control; the data is not sold or shared.
Server and network logs
Like almost every website, our web server records each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string. We use these logs to keep the site running, to fight abuse and bots, and to fix errors. They rotate automatically and are overwritten after a short period; we don't use them for marketing.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, a content-delivery and security network. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages quickly and block attacks, and may set strictly necessary security cookies when it needs to tell a person from a bot.
Your language preference
If you use the language switcher, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the next page loads in the same language. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time.
If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply and keep a record of corrections. We don't add you to any mailing list.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, passwords, or payment details — there is nothing to sign up for.
- No advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party ad networks.
- No fonts, maps, or social-media widgets loaded from other companies' servers. Our fonts are hosted on our own server.
Links to dating sites
When you click a "Visit" button, you pass through a short redirect on our own domain (an address beginning with /go/) and then land on the dating site's website. Some of these links are affiliate links: the dating site or its affiliate network may then set its own cookies so it can tell that you came from us — this is how we earn a commission when someone signs up (see how we make money). From that point on, the dating site's own privacy policy and terms apply, not ours. Read them before you create a profile or buy credits.
Why we are allowed to process this data
For visitors in the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions: we process analytics data and server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website and understanding which pages are useful (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We process your emails on the same basis, to answer you. We don't use your data for automated decisions about you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to it, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Email us to use any of these rights. Because our analytics are anonymous and cookie-free, we usually can't link a page view back to a specific person — which means there is usually nothing about you to hand over or delete beyond any emails you sent us.
Age
This site reviews dating services for adults. It is intended for people aged 18 and over, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect, we update this page and the "last reviewed" date below.
